Son-O-House

interactive sounding architecture

The Son-O-House is an interactive sounding architecture commissioned by the industry at ekkersrijt, Son, Holland. It's a collaboration between NOX architects (Lars Spuybroek) and Edwin van der Heide. Son-O-House is a permanent installation that opened the 14th op may 2004. It's freely accesible 24 hours a day.

From the train station Eindhoven take bus 9 in the direction "Son en Breughel" and get out at the first stop at the industry park Ekkersrijt. The stop is called PTT Son. Cross the street and turn left into street no. 5700, the first street on your left from the bus stop. Walk straight ahead and after the road turns to the right you'll see the Son-O-House ahead of you. It's quite a long ride by bus. Son-O-House is on/at Ekkersrijt 5600.

By car Ekkersrijt is clearly indicated from the ring north around Eindhoven. Follow the road that goes into Ekkersrijt 4000-9000. Keep on going straight until there, all of a sudden, is a road to the left with the number 5600.
